Having lived in Spain for the past three years now, it's put me in the environment where I've come to meet so many wonderful musicians from all over the world. It's an enlightening experience to the point where the notion of "music genre" dissolves and is replaced by just one common denominator - Music. Fundamentally, Jazz music is an homogenous soup of influences. It's something I've always admired about how the members of the group The Weather Report explored this, bringing about a fantastic energy and spirit, passion and collective world-groove. Music is Music, it doesn't judge, but brings people together devoid of inequality; music is love, a global community, an arena where we can openly be ourselves by trial and error, experiencing it with an ongoing child-like awe, no place for the ego, but a place where every voice unifies one calling.
